Combining materials to create composite design solutions can result in truly inspiring facades. The combination of metal suspended in resin can create a CorTen look alike without the shortcomings; interior surfaces can have a metallic appearance without the weight and mechanical limitations. We have applied a composite copper facade on the Stephen Gaynor School in New York and composite aluminum facade components to the Dallas Cowboy Stadium in Texas. New design solutions include composite titanium and copper roofing, fiberglass structural shapes and embedded fiber reinforced cement materials that can be produced in a broad range of shapes and sizes.
