Stone & Earth Used by Axis Facades

Natural beauty and visual stimulation and the tactile quality of stone cannot be matched. We have engineered stone reconstruction for Angkor Wat in Cambodia and designed the sleek glazed green brick facade of the University of Pennsylvania, /Skirkanich Hall. The range of stone is so vast that we have created a large library of stone material around the world. From Indian sandstone, Chinese ash stone, European marbles, Brazilian slate and American granite and many points in between stone is an exciting and enduring material. The use of traditional terra cotta and is now complimented by the application of extruded terra cotta. New material evolution involving cements have created amazing opportunities for self cleaning and polished pigmented surfaces.

Glass Used by Axis Facades

The absolute beauty of glass in its raw form inspires great design. We have applied the use of molten cast glass to create a distinctive facade for Kate Spade in New York and engineered applications for the use of rolled glass for the Gucci Landmark facade in Hong Kong. With new technology of embedded glass with LEDs, organic materials and printed interlayers the glass applications are ever expanding. The evolution of slump forming glass using computer generated forms and jigs now brings two dimensional glass into a new realm of possibilities.
